How do you pick a men’s band?! I always recommend that my clients start by asking themselves: What kind of style do I want? Do you want something timeless, classic, or something with a bit of a unique flair? If you want a classic look, the Classic Comfort Fit is the best bet! The Comfort Fit Milgrain Band has a little bit of subtle detailing and the Bevel Band is super modern with a matte center and high polish on the sides -- perfect if you want something different! As always, we can make anything custom, too!
Next, it’s time to choose the width! You can go anywhere from 3mm to 7mm… beyond! The most popular widths are 4, 5, and 6mm. The best way to determine the perfect width is to think about the size of your hands. If you have larger hands, opt for a larger width. At the end of the day it’s all about your preferences and if you want a bolder statement or a more seamless look. If you have skinnier fingers or want a thinner band, it gives the look a European flair! I have been loving this look!
Next, choose your metal! You can choose platinum, 14K/18K white, yellow or rose gold! SO many choices! If you want a white metal, think about your lifestyle: white gold tends to yellow over time, but it is tougher and less expensive. If you want something heavier and something that will always stay white, go for platinum, but know that it is a bit more expensive and gets knicks more easily. If you are choosing between yellow golds, 14K is more muted and tougher while 18K is more of a saturated yellow color and is more prone to those knicks. Some men have been opting for rose gold recently and I love this trend! I recommend going for 14K rose gold because the metal is inherently softer. If you have a rosy undertone, rose gold can look amazing!
