What is an antique diamond?
A “lab-grown antique diamond” is, quite simply, an oxymoron. By definition, antique diamonds—such as Old Mine Cuts and Old European Cuts were crafted by hand before the 1930s and 1940s. They are distinguished by their chunky facets, smaller tables, visible culets, steep crown angles, and the subtle irregularities that give each stone its unmistakable charm.

What many people don’t realize is that genuine antique natural diamonds can offer exceptional value. Because many original stones fall within slightly warmer color ranges, they are often priced more accessibly while still facing up bright, lively, and beautifully expansive.
