Clear Cut Couples: Addison and Bianca
Addison had been living in NYC for years after attending university in the city and was introduced to Bianca who had recently moved from California for a new job. They had been texting on and off and decided to meet up for a first date.
They met up in person for the first time at Mercado Little Spain for a glass of Sangria. What was originally meant to be one drink became four hours of conversation as neither wanted to end the night and go their separate ways. That first meeting led to another quickly planned second date from there. They have been together for five years since they initially met at Mercado Little Spain in the Summer of 2019. They have enjoyed every minute of the last five years getting to know each other and building a life together.
One of their first highlights of their relationship was taking their first trip together to Madrid, Spain and Lisbon, Portugal. We bonded over their love of food, traveling to new places, and wine as we walked through the European streets. This would be the first trip of many that would be the hallmarks of their relationship as they continued to explore the world together.
As they continued to date, they were drawn closer together by Covid-19 as they went from hanging out as often as they could to living together essentially overnight. They spent time doing apartment workouts, making whipped coffee, and watching Tiger King in both NYC and Los Angeles. Addison also got to know Bianca's family on a much deeper level as he essentially moved in to her family's house for two months!
After the pandemic subsided, they took their most significant step and got a dog together. Maui is their now 1.5 year old Goldendoodle from Dallas Texas and she has changed their lives in a million different ways and keeps them cuddled, walking, and excited for more great memories together as a mini-family.
The most recent core memory before their engagement was taking Bianca to see where Addison grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She got to spend quality time with his family and learn more about the culture, food, and history that makes Japan such an incredibly unique place.
They went on a trip to Mallorca and Addison surprised her with a sunset boat ride, which is one of their favorite things to do on vacation. They boarded in Port De Soller and sailed across the Mallorcan coast anchoring along the beautiful shore. With the sun setting behind them, Addison got down on one knee and proposed.
Bianca was surprised about the boat and really excited as she had initially planned on surprising him with a boat as well! As he showed her the ring, she was so blown away that Addison had to remind her that he was waiting for an answer. Thankfully, she said yes.
As for their wedding, they hope to get married in two years and have a coastal wedding in Europe. They’ve made amazing memories in Europe over the last few years of their relationship and want to share that beauty with their family and friends.
