Clear Cut Couples: Blake and Emma

Blake and Emma met online! Thanks to one swipe right, they went on a blind date at a local restaurant in Baton Rouge called The Pelican House! Emma was hesitant to go meet a guy described as "wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt," but her Mom talked her into it. Blake sat next to the exit door (just in case she was crazy, LOL!). One blind date led to another... and the rest is history! They have been together for over 4 years since then!

They have shared countless incredible memories over the years! They love going on trips all over the world together. One of their favorites was when Emma surprised Blake with a trip to Cuba for his birthday. Cuba was an unforgettable trip!

Blake proposed the day before Emma's Birthday (her birthstone is inside the engagement ring)! Blake arrived in St. Croix US Virgin Islands -- Emma was already there. It was actually during Hurricane Laura! They were scheduled for a photo shoot that afternoon with Emma’s dear friend Meredith Zimmerman who happens to be a professional photographer in the Virgin Islands. The weather wasn't looking good due to the hurricane so the photo shoot was rescheduled for a different day. 

Meredith called last minute and said there was a small break in the weather if they wanted to try for the shoot. Blake and Emma went for it and decided to try for some quick photos before the storm started back up. While taking pictures Blake got down on one knee and proposed! Meredith was able to catch everything on camera!!

Following the proposal, there was a surprise engagement party to celebrate with friends which all made sense as to why the photoshoot has to be that day!! 

Emma was SO surprised and her reaction was all in action!  

They are planning to get married at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, VA Sept 18, 2021! Congrats you two!
