Clear Cut Couples: Briana and Ross
Briana and Ross met soon after she had moved to a small town in Iowa to start her career as a rural CRNA. She didn't know anyone in the community and was invited to a party by the doctor that she started working with. The doctor's wife also invited a cute single bachelor in town who owns a landscaping company, Ross, because she "just had a feeling" that they were meant for each other, and she was right! There was an immediate connection that night that everyone witnessed, something that they still can't describe.
Briana said, "On our first date Ross picked me up in his 1976 Bronco and drove me around the lake to a dock out on the water. We sat in the sun and drank a cold beer while we talked. Ross often says the moment he fell in love was that day watching me sip a Michelob Ultra. We got picked up at the dock by that same doctor and his wife on their boat and spent the entire afternoon soaking up those moments out on the water." And the rest is history… they have been together for over 9 months! It feels like it's only been a few weeks, and somehow also feels like they have known each other their entire lives.
Their best memories together involve their dogs Harper and Olie, who are both doodle breeds. They had an instant friendship and became like Bonnie and Clyde. Their daily lives revolve around their goofy personalities and keeping them out of trouble.
Ross proposed in Des Moines during a quick weekend getaway. Briana thought that they were taking a small trip for a networking event, but the whole thing was a set up!Ross booked a beautiful historic hotel in downtown Des Moines. Briana thought that she was exploring the hotel solarium and accidentally walked in on someone's proposal! There was an acoustic guitar singer playing, a professional photographer, flower installments, candles, and her dream engagement ring... it felt like a romantic daydream. She said, “I STILL don't understand how he planned everything and got an engagement ring!"
The engagement and ring was a total surprise and she is still in shock! They started reaching out to The Clear Cut in early February to talk about what she envisioned and Briana thought maybe he would propose this summer, not the very next month! “The ring is better than anything I could have pictured. I was speechless.”
As for their wedding, they don’t have plans yet! She wants to elope while he wants a big party. They might have a long engagement and decide to start a family first, too. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
