Clear Cut Couples: Delaney and Brandon
Delaney and Brandon met in 2015 during their first semester of college, at a sorority date party! Being a new freshman from out of state, Delaney hardly knew any boys to bring to the party, so a friend set her up with Brandon, who she had a few classes with. Walking up to meet him for the first time was like a scene from a rom-com. She was immediately enamored by him and it felt like the world around her went silent and began to move in slow motion…until she tripped and fell walking up to shake his hand. Luckily, he thought it was charming and they have been inseparable since that day 10 years ago.
After about a week of seeing each other every day and texting nonstop, he finally asked her on a date. They went to dinner and walked around their cute little college town. They could talk for hours (still can) and it immediately felt like they had known each other forever.
They have done so much over the decade that they have been together - they got a dog, became an aunt and uncle 3 times over, traveled the world, started a business, and built a home. Some special highlights of their relationship include moving into their first apartment together. They had been together almost 5 years and in 2021, Delaney permanently moved to Florida to begin their adult lives together. Their first apartment will always be so special to them. It’s also where they brought their puppy home too! Their French Bulldog, Ace was their missing piece and the center of their world!
Brandon proposed on October 29th, 2025. They were on their 10-year anniversary trip in Mallorca, Spain. He took her to an “art museum” which turned out to be the most stunning private venue Delaney could imagine. She was in complete shock that it was finally happening and giggled throughout the entire proposal. It was the most special moment between the two of them and made the years of waiting worth it.
It was a complete surprise! When she saw the ring her jaw dropped. She said, “I could not believe how stunning it was. It blew all my expectations out of the water. The funny thing is, The Clear Cut had actually posted a TikTok of my exact diamond a few weeks before the trip and I was so obsessed I went back and watched it every day hoping mine would be similar one day. I even showed my mom the day before we left for the trip! So when I saw that it was the diamond he got I couldn’t believe it. It felt like fate!”
Right now, their plan is to enjoy being engaged for a few months before the planning begins. They waited for this season of their relationship for so long that they are going to take some time to soak in it. They hope to have a destination wedding sometime in the summer of 2027. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
