Clear Cut Couples: Ella and Jake

Ella and Jake met in the summer of 2017 at Lake Martin in Alabama. They ended up connecting and both attended the University of Alabama- he was a freshman and she was a sophomore. They ran into each other at a date party and hit it off. After attending multiple game days and functions together, they made it official in New Orleans after seeing Dead and Co together. The rest is history… they have been together for 6 1/2 years!

They have been blessed enough to build so many lasting memories and great experiences together. They have traveled to the Bahamas a few times and enjoy flats fishing and snorkeling. They are also big music buffs and have seen over 25 live shows together. They share 2 dogs Billy (named after one of their favorite artists Billy strings) and Blue.

Jake proposed on June 9th 2024 at Staniel Cay in the Bahamas. They had been out on the boat all day with her family and everyone went in to get ready for dinner. Jake asked her to walk to a private beach and once they were there, she turned around and he was on one knee! They laughed and cried and when they got back to the house his family was there and surprised them! It was so lovely and couldn’t have been more perfect.

Ella was hoping it would happen this trip since all of her family was there and it was also her birthday! Before she even saw the ring, she read “The Clear Cut” on the box and just started screaming! She said, “It is my DREAM ring and I started hyperventilating (in a good way) because I was so shocked!”

As for their wedding, they plan on getting married in the Keys in June of 2025! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
