Clear Cut Couples: Eric and Laura

Eric moved to Milwaukee, WI in 2017 and met Laura on his first night out with friends. Little did he know, his brother's girlfriend had been talking him up to Laura for months and she was very excited to meet him. The two had an instant connection and have been together ever since.

Their official first date was dinner and drinks at an outdoor ice bar (how Wisconsin!) in the middle of February. The temperature was in the single digits, but they still had a blast and Laura knew after that date that Eric was someone she could be with forever.

Since then, they have been together for over 3 years. In January 2020, they moved from Wisconsin to Des Moines, IA for Eric's job. Adjusting to new jobs, a new city and COVID quarantine only strengthened their relationship and love for each other.

Eric and Laura love going to sports games, concerts and adventures with their dog, Murphy. They also love to travel and have made it a priority throughout the relationship to experience new places together. When Laura surprised Eric with a vacation for Valentine's Day this year, Eric knew it was the perfect opportunity to finalize his proposal plans.

Eric proposed to Laura in Cabo San Lucas on March 25, 2021. Behind the scenes, Eric had arranged a surprise romantic dinner on the beach. With the ocean as the backdrop and the sun setting, it was truly a dreamy setting. After the first glass of champagne was poured, Eric got down on one knee and proposed.

Although Laura was anticipating a proposal soon, she was blown away by the romantic beach setting and her gorgeous ring. Her engagement ring is based on countless Clear Cut posts she had been sending Eric for inspiration. The ring is even more beautiful in person, they couldn't be happier! They are hoping to get married back in Milwaukee in 2022. They can't wait for all the celebrations ahead! Congrats you two!
