Clear Cut Couples: Garrett and Evyn

Garrett and Evyn met in high school through a mutual friend in San Diego during the Summer! Their first date was at a place called “Great White” in Venice, CA. They have been together for 3 years since!

They have shared so many incredible memories over the years. Evyn traveled with Garrett and his team during the playoffs in 2022. They grew closer than ever during that time. Getting to celebrate on the field together after each Series win all the way to the World Series… it was so special.

They recently went on a 10 day trip to Costa Rica. They had the most amazing time traveling in a country that they had never been to. Even though there were a couple travel hiccups, (canceled flights, etc.) they always find a way to solve any situation together. Except for one… Garrett didn’t stop at Taco Bell on one of their road trips and he will never hear the end of that. LOL!

Garrett proposed on Sunday, December 10th at Chileno Bay in Cabo. He had a private dinner prepared for them overlooking the ocean with a whole speech ready for the proposal, but as soon as he started speaking, he just blacked out and forgot how to speak English. He spoke some jumbled up love words, got down on a knee, and asked, “Will you marry me?” After being told that he had the box upside down, Evyn said “yes” and they had the most amazing night together eating, drinking and listening to live music.

The proposal was a surprise! Evyn knew that it was going to happen at some time, but she never thought it would be that weekend in Cabo. She thought it would be Christmas time.

As for the ring, Evyn saw the diamond on Instagram and immediately fell in love and told him how much she wanted it. She knew what diamond she was getting and even knowing that, she was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how beautiful the ring is in person. She’s OBSESSED to put it lightly.

They plan to get married in December 2024. They have a venue in Mexico picked out but want to keep the location private. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
