Clear Cut Couples: John and Alyssa

John and Alyssa met at Providence College in Rhode Island. They were the same major (finance) and lived next door to each other during their senior year— Go Friars!

They have been together for 5 years! They spent part of their relationship long distance: John in Boston and then Chicago, and Alyssa in New York. Alyssa moved to Chicago about a year and a half ago... and the rest is history!

They have shared so many incredible memories over the years! Some highlights have been spending a tropical vacation together every December - it is a tradition they cherish! Although they had to cancel their plans this year, they look forward to spending the time staycationing and figuring out where to begin with wedding planning!

John proposed during Thanksgiving in Cape Cod! Alyssa’s family surprised her by coming in from New York! It was their first Thanksgiving together with both of their families and it was so meaningful. It was perfect!

Alyssa was SO shocked!!! She said, “It was an amazing surprise in a grim year and a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. My ring is everything I wanted and more—cannot stop staring at it!!”

They are taking some time to enjoy the engagement and figure out their wedding in the time of COVID, but will definitely start planning soon! They would love to get married in the chapel on their college campus. Congratulations to you two - we are SO happy for you!
