Clear Cut Couples: Jordan and Ethan
Jordan and Ethan met in 2016 while in high school—Ethan attended the all-boys school, and Jordan went to the all-girls school just down the street. From the moment they met, they were attached at the hip. Ethan was three years older, and at that time, Jordan's parents were a little wary of the age gap. Many of their first dates were lowkey.
Their first date was at the Cheesecake Factory! Ethan's parents paid! Since then, they occasionally find themselves going back to relive those high school memories — always over a plate of their Factory Nachos (so good!). To this day, going out to dinners is their favorite thing to do. They are huge foodies!
They have been together for about nine years. After going to high school together, they went to different colleges—Jordan went to school in New York, and Ethan went to Ohio. The distance was challenging, and they went their separate ways for a few months, but it didn't take long before they decided to prioritize each other. For the rest of college, they visited each other as much as possible and talked all the time. Since graduating, they've been living together in NYC for almost three years, something they both looked forward to all of college. Living together has been the best thing.
They love staying active—whether it's playing tennis together, trying new restaurants, or traveling. Some of their favorite highlights include exploring Europe, spending hours on the road driving back to Pennsylvania to visit family, and taking daily walks through Central Park. They tend to finish each other's sentences and are almost always in the mood for the same things.
Ethan planned a trip to Italy for July of 2025. The couple had been talking about getting married since they met in high school, and when they were ready, they designed a ring together at The Clear Cut. Jordan eagerly awaited the big day. Her favorite thing is being in or on the water —whether swimming, relaxing at the beach, or spending time on a boat.
During their trip, Ethan rented a boat on the Amalfi Coast and got down on one knee. It was the most magical setting and a moment they will never forget. The rest of the trip was spent exploring and relaxing at a beach club during the day, and enjoying incredible dinners at night. They reflected on their relationship, growing up together, and how far they've come. It was a trip they both had pictured in their minds since the very beginning.
They designed the ring together, since Jordan is very particular and knew exactly what she wanted. When the trip to Italy was revealed, Jordan had a good idea an engagement was coming — but she didn't know the exact day or how it would happen. Regardless, the moment was surreal, with their entire relationship flashing before her eyes. It was the easiest "Yes" of all time, and she couldn't have been happier.
Ethan and Jordan plan to get married within the next year and a half at a venue closer to where they both grew up in Pennsylvania. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
