Clear Cut Couples: Lacey and Noah

Lacey and Noah met in the summer of 2022 at a cooking class right before starting business school together at Stanford. Every year, over 300 people in the incoming class take a trip to Colombia to get to know one another before school starts. They met on the last day of the trip. Noah thought Lacey was cute and kind when they first met and noticed her smile right away. Lacey liked Noah’s deep brown eyes and thought he seemed very sweet and easygoing.

Their first date was right after Thanksgiving in 2022. Noah took Lacey to a new restaurant in Palo Alto called Ethyl’s Fancy. They sat at the bar —which is still their favorite place to sit at restaurants today — and talked about their families, upbringings, life goals, and aspirations, all with plenty of laughs in between. It has become their go-to spot for important events, like meeting each other's parents and graduation dinner. They have been together for a little over 2.5 years since!

They have shared countless incredible memories since then! They first said “I love you” two months into dating on a ski trip in Tahoe. Together, they tried new adventures together and motivated each other to do so, like surfing, hiking, golfing, and even canyon swinging. They have traveled all over 5 continents together since, including special trips to Paris, Tokyo, Australia and New Zealand, and love being each other’s favorite travel buddy.

Noah proposed on a weekend trip in the Berkshires where they had spent many weekends together at his parents house. They were having drinks on a Saturday when Noah took Lacey out to the garden and got down on one knee, surrounded by beautiful flowers. She said yes! They spent the night celebrating with pizza, ice cream, and champagne!

Lacey was very surprised and audibly gasped at the ring. Though they designed it together, it was even more beautiful and special than she imagined! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
