Clear Cut Couples: Madi and Owen

met in Houston, Texas back in high school. They were both volunteering at a freshman fish camp (they were 15 & 16) and basically never stopped talking from that day forward.

Their first date was at a Sonic drive-in where they sat in the parking lot for hours. They have been together for 12 years since then! 

They both went to the University of Texas and then they moved up to NYC about 5 years ago. They have visited 12 countries together and have so many amazing memories over the years growing up together.

Owen proposed in Tuscany. They had a trip planned for their friends' wedding in Rome and then they spent Memorial Day weekend traveling around. At dinner in Florence on Friday night, Owen asked Madi to marry him and surprised her with both of their families in Europe! They then spent the entire weekend celebrating at vineyards and eating Italian food with family. It was perfect!

Madi was totally surprised! She thought he might do it in Italy, but he threw her off when he said they would soon spend the 4th of July with both families in Newport, RI. He kept leaving little hints that it would happen in Newport, so she was fully convinced he wasn't doing it in Italy. 

She said, “I am OBSESSED with the ring! I was shaking so hard I had to put it on my own hand but it's actually perfect.” They are getting married at The Viewpoint in York, Maine in July 2027! Congrats you two We are SO happy for you!
