Clear Cut Couples: Ngozi and EJ
Ngozi and EJ first met while they were both studying at university in the UK. It was at a party and the moment that they were introduced, the conversation flowed effortlessly.
They quickly discovered that they had so much in common, from their interests and ambitions to the values that shaped how they saw the world. That shared ground made it easy to spend more and more time together. At first, it was just as friends, enjoying long conversations, shared experiences, and the comfort of knowing they truly understood each other. Looking back, those early days laid the foundation for everything that came after.
Their first date was at a Jamaican restaurant in Exeter, where they were both studying at the time. It was a relaxed evening with plenty of laughs, a mix of light and fun chats, and a few deeper conversations too. After dinner, they went to a local ice cream shop for dessert and ended up talking until they closed for the night. The rest is history! They have been together for 7 wonderful years since then.
They have had so many special memories over the years, but one that stands out was when Ngozi surprised EJ for his most recent birthday. It was one of those times that really reminded him how lucky he is to have her in his life.
From celebrating milestones together, to quiet evenings just enjoying each other’s company, their relationship has been filled with moments big and small that mean so much to them.
EJ proposed on the 2nd of August 2025, during an annual summer vacation. He took her to lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant in a hotel in Èze, in the south of France. He had arranged for the restaurant and rooftop to be completely private, so that they could have it beautifully decorated and capture the moment in photographs. It was the perfect setting for such an important milestone in their lives.
It was a complete surprise for her! Ngozi loved the ring and took lots of photos and videos of it! They are planning to get married next year and we are SO happy for you! Congrats!!
