Clear Cut Couples: Ali and Ed

Ali and Ed met through mutual friends at a party in Philadelphia back in 2014. For their first date, Ed took Ali to a cozy restaurant in Philly. The rest is history, they have now been together for 8 years!

They have shared countless memories over the years! They love to travel, some of their favorite places that they have visited are Iceland and Costa Rica. They love music and traveling around to see concerts, their favorite concert venue is Red Rocks.

They adopted their two rescue kitties when they were living in Philly during the pandemic. They bought their first home together and moved to NJ in 2021.

Ed surprised Ali with a trip for her birthday, but would not tell her where they were going until they got to the airport. At the airport, she found out that they were going to Banff which had been on her bucket list of places to visit. Ed had the whole weekend planned, they went horseback riding, ate great food in the town of Banff, went on a gondola ride, and explored all of the beautiful nature Banff has to offer. On her actual birthday Ed took us to Lake Louise, they were walking around when Ed asked someone to take their photo. Before she knew it he was down on one knee proposing and everyone at the Lake was cheering for them! It turns out the person taking their photo was the photographer Ed hired and they then got to take engagement photos all around the lake. The most magical day ended with an amazing romantic dinner at Eden.

Ed and Ali visited The Clear Cut in NYC a few months back and designed the ring together, but Ali had never seen the finished product. Once Ed told her that they were going on a surprise trip for her birthday, Ali had a feeling it could be happening on this trip.She said, “the ring exceeded my expectations and it is truly my dream ring!” Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!

They are getting married in Newport, RI in October 2023!
