Clear Cut Couples: Angie and Zack
In 2014, Angie and Zack met at Indiana University their second year of college at a party paired with their sorority and fraternity. They didn't end up exchanging numbers and ran into each other a few times through the year at the library and other parties. They both left school and headed back to their hometowns for the summer and didn't speak again until their junior year!
Angie invited Zack to a date-party with her sorority and they started hanging out more consistently. They later went abroad to separate cities (Zack in London and Angie in Florence). They stayed in touch throughout their travel; meeting up a few weekends with friends in different countries.
During their summer after junior year, they both had internships in NYC and continued to stay in touch. They didn't put a label on things until someone asked Angie to set her up with her friend Zack. It felt like a good time to start intro-ing each other as boyfriend and girlfriend ;) They have been together for over 8 years since!
For their first date, Zack invited Angie over to his place to carve pumpkins and do Fall activities together. He later invited her for a trip to Vermont to snowboard together and meet his family. He was very happy to have someone that could keep up with him on the mountain!
They have shared countless incredible memories over the years. They travel quite a bit with their friends! Their favorite trips were Greece with Zack's family and Breckenridge to snowboard each year with their friends.
Their favorite memory is picking up their dog, Jojo, to bring home to them when she was a puppy. They bring her along on trips with them to Rhode Island, Colorado, and San Diego. Their favorite date spot is Friend of a Farmer in their neighborhood in Gramercy. They are both big Marvel fans and love a Friday night in with dinner and a movie.
Zack proposed on March 19 at the NYC botanical gardens. He later surprised Angie at Bobo for brunch with her closest friends and family who flew in from all over. Zack was getting excited about the proposal and Angie could tell something was coming soon. Angie had an idea of the type of ring she liked and helped Zack choose the center stone. Zack worked with Vivian from The Clear Cut to design the setting to surprise Angie with a 3 stone and gold band. They absolutely love it!
As for their wedding, they want to have a destination wedding in Tuscany! Angie's family is from Indiana and Zack's is from New York so they would love to all meet somewhere warm for a weekend long event! They’re sure that the event will include their dog Jojo as the flower girl. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
