Clear Cut Couples: Antonio and Melissa
Antonio and Melissa met in high school and both moved to the same college town, Tallahassee, FL in 2015. It all starts there, where they became close friends and soon after fell in love.
Being college kids, their first date was a bit unconventional. They ordered takeout and went to the top floor of the campus parking garage on the 4th of July to watch fireworks. They ended up staying up all night getting to know each other. This set the stage for their whole relationship; they always cherish the moments that they share, whether they’re in Paris or Tallahassee.
They have shared countless incredible memories over the years. One of the highlights of their relationship so far was traveling to Paris and London. Traveling together brought them even closer. They were able to open each other up to new experiences, no matter where in the world they were. Of course they enjoyed all the different foods, museums, and shopping, but the time spent making memories was the best part.
They live and work in Connecticut and planned a vacation to the Hawaiian Islands over the course of a year. They love traveling and adventure, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary to be going on a trip. Antonio even waited a few days to settle in before popping the question. Right when Melissa put her guard down and got comfortable, the perfect situation presented itself. They spent the entire day together on a beach, and while driving back to their hotel, they saw a large shoulder on the highway with the most perfect view of where they had just been. They took some pictures with their tripod, and Antonio was able to record the moment without suspicion! It was such a pure and honest moment, definitely the best of both of their lives!
The actual moment that Antonio proposed was a surprise, but the proposal was not a surprise after 7 years of being together. The way that they care about one another and how much they love each other made this the easiest decision. Antonio said, “The Clear Cut made the experience effortless. The execution was flawless and my fiancé hasn’t stopped talking about how much she loves her ring!” As for their wedding, they’re likely to get married in the next 2 years. They are both set on an outdoor wedding. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
