Clear Cut Couples: Becca and Brandon

Becca and Brandon met at their alma mater, the University of South Carolina! Brandon had a date cancel on him at the last minute for his fraternity function. He asked Becca's Big, Ellie, to find a new date for him less than 24 hours before the function. She set them up and they hit it off!

Their first date was at that Sig Ep function, and they only had a few weeks together before Becca left to study abroad for 7 months. While she was studying in Switzerland, Brandon graduated and moved to Charlotte, NC. It took almost an entire year of FaceTiming until they were finally able to be within 100 miles of each other. The halfway point from Charlotte, NC to Columbia, SC was a rollercoaster park called Carowinds. They met halfway and had their second "first date" there!

Soon, they’re celebrating 3 years together! Through those years, they have shared countless memories. One of their favorites was their first anniversary, which was the day that they adopted their dog. They absolutely adore their micro-bernedoodle puppy, Beau! They just moved to Manhattan together for Brandon to start law school, and every moment living in NYC has been so much fun.

Becca and Brandon had several trips (like, 10!) planned throughout the summer that were all canceled due to COVID-19. To say the least, they have built up a lot of flight credits! They just moved to NYC and decided that the safest option would be to stay in-state and spend a few days in Montauk. Brandon set up a beautiful beach proposal at Gurney's and had "Marry Me" written in the sand inside a heart made of rose petals. He had a private table set up with champagne, roses, chocolate covered strawberries - everything! After, they enjoyed a beautiful sunset and then dinner, and a lot more champagne!

It was hard to keep secrets during quarantine, so the proposal wasn't exactly a surprise. Becca hadn't seen the ring until that moment, and it is exactly what she wanted! She told Olivia what she had in mind and left the rest up to Brandon. She absolutely loves it and can't wait to wear it for the rest of her life!

As of right now, they don't have any wedding plans set in stone yet, but they are exploring venue options in Manhattan. They are already looking forward to celebrating the big day with family and friends! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
