Clear Cut Couples: Maddie and Zack
Maddie and Zack met at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD during Maddie's sophomore year, Zack's junior year. Since then, they’ve been together for almost 5 years!
The two have always run together- it’s something that's quickly become "their thing" in NYC. They are both running the NY marathon this fall, so it’s not unusual for the two of them to go for a run together before or after work. Zack planned a 3 mile run on their usual route one Friday morning on August 3. They stopped at the usual halfway point, and Maddie noticed Zack wasn't beside her. She turned around to find him on one knee behind her on a pier on the Hudson River in Lower Manhattan. Both of their families came to surprise her and celebrate!
Maddie was completely shocked! She asked if she still had to go into the office that day since it was only 7AM -- thank goodness Zack had clued everyone in, including Maddie's boss. Zack had the entire weekend planned out.
Maddie loves her ring so much! She constantly stares at it and is so happy to wake up and see it on her finger every morning. It's perfect for her. The two are getting married June 1st, 2019 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, where Maddie grew up. Congradulations you two!
