Clear Cut Couples: Sam and Laetisha
Sam and Laetisha met because Sam randomly added her on Facebook in 2014, but it wasn’t till 2016 that they actually started talking and decided to catch up for a coffee! They like to say that the rest is history!
Their first official date was a trip to the cinemas, it was all the awkwardness that a first date usually is, but they both knew that it was the start of something special. Since then they have been together for 4 years!!
They have shared so many incredible memories over the years including some amazing international holidays together. Last year, they bought their first home together in the middle of a pandemic, which they are both very proud of!! Laetisha said, “When I think about our relationship, I think about how even through difficult times how supportive and resilient we are. We always make each other laugh and we are best of friends.”
Sam had organised for the engagement to be a complete surprise!! He asked one of her best friends to trick her into thinking that she was going to a work function with her at a beautiful winery. Of course, she agreed, as she never says no to good food and wine with a view!! On the morning of the engagement Sam said that he was going out for coffee with a friend. She thought nothing of it as she was preoccupied with getting ready for her friend’s work function. “My friend picked me up and drove us, I remember thinking, there weren't a lot of people in the car park and was reassured we had arrived early. We walked onto a beautiful grass area and I saw a photographer taking photos, I assumed we had interrupted someone’s photoshoot. As I walked around the corner Sam was standing there, I instantly burst into tears, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”
It was a complete surprise, the ring is beautiful, simple and a classic! It was such a special moment that she will never forget!! Due to the pandemic, they are unsure as to what their wedding plans will look like. All they know is that they want it to be a complete celebration of love with their nearest and dearest. It will most likely be non-traditional and unique to them. Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
