Clear Cut Couples: Viraj and Priya

Viraj and Priya met freshman year at Rutgers University. By chance, they were placed in the same dorm building, and better than that, the same floor. They started to become friends throughout the year and by sophomore year, they were best friends. They spent so much of their time together and enjoyed each other's company. During the end of senior year, they started dating and from then on life has been amazing and full of making memories.

Their first date began with Viraj picking up Priya and driving to Washington Rock State Park. They were overlooking the amazing views of New York City on a beautiful May evening. They hung out and walked around a bit before making their way to a Thai restaurant in downtown Metuchen. They enjoyed the great food and of course their favorite drink, Thai Iced Tea. And they have been together for 3 years since!

They have shared countless incredible memories since then, like ice cream dates all around NJ, trips to Seattle and Chicago, winery / cidery dates, picnics, hiking, happy hours at their favorite place in Jersey City, sporting events, and so much more. 

Viraj proposed to Priya at Van Vleck House and Gardens in Montclair, NJ on July 20th, 2024. Prior to the proposal, he had laid out Priya’s dress, shoes, and a handwritten note telling her that today was the day. They drove to Montclair and Priya had no clue where they were going. He proposed at the Gardens and then they had their photo shoot. After a while of taking pictures, both of their families surprised them and they all went out to dinner. Priya was so in love with the ring and everything about it!

As for their wedding, they are still taking everything in from the engagement and not planning just yet! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
