Best Eternity Band Settings

Welcome to The Clear Cut Classroom where we take deep dives into all things diamonds (and jewelry)! In this episode, we’re talking about the best eternity band settings. Out with the old, in with the NEW and more comfortable!! We chat about the key things we look for in making the best looking and feeling eternity bands.

Personally, I have always loved diamond eternity bands that go all the way around the finger! I love the look and style of it! So, we were determined to design a band that sits low to the finger, is super comfortable, and shows off the diamonds! I have two favorite ways to set eternity bands.

The traditional setting for a diamond eternity band is super high! People think that it is the best way to set the ring because it allows for a lot of light to come in, but in reality it is super uncomfortable to wear. It knocks up against your other fingers and can be painful if someone shakes your hand. The prongs are far apart which also makes the band look more square like, rather than individually defining the diamonds.

We designed the Defined Diamond Band with this in mind. It sits super low to the finger and fits flush to other bands. Plus, you can see the roundness of each of the stones. Many people are interested in single prong bands because they define the individual stones, too. However, I recommend against single prong bands because they aren’t secure and the diamonds can become loose over time -- no one wants that! We love our Defined Diamond Band because it gives a similar look as a single prong band, but adds security and comfort.

One of my other favorite ways to set eternity bands, for more square shaped stones, is our Low Luxe Band. This is what I have for my band! I wear mine every day and am totally obsessed. It is super comfortable and does not bother me at all. We set it as low to the finger as possible and made it extra smooth so it doesn't stick off your finger too far. We flattened the prongs for added comfort -- this also helps you see the outlines of the stones!

All in all, comfort it key. If you have a gorgeous piece of jewelry, but it is uncomfortable... you won’t wear it! Let us know what you want to see next week in the comments below! Visit theclearcut.co for other band options!
