Clear Cut Couples: Ben and Michelle

Ben and Michelle met at work! At the time, they shared the same manager, but were working at different sites. There was a company meeting at Ben’s client site and they hit it off there. After then, they would occasionally meet up for happy hours and dinner and became great friends.

Their first date was right after Christmas in 2016. They were heading back from Long Island (separately) to Manhattan to get ready to go back to work. They decided to grab a quick cup of coffee at Stumptown before heading back to their apartments. The quick cup of coffee turned into cocktails at the bar, and dinner at the rooftop of Eataly where they enjoyed long conversations about work, life, and family. They remained work friends, but have always enjoyed each other’s company. Officially, they have been together since April 2019!

They have shared so many incredible memories since then! Being in the hospitality industry, they naturally enjoy cooking together and trying out new restaurants. Their favorite highlight is when they got a golden retriever (June 2019). Her name is Stella! Their lives often revolve around her, taking her on every adventure together: dog beaches, nature hikes, cape cod, you name it! In October 2020, they decided to move in together and found a gorgeous apartment in Long Island City. They said, “We love our little family together, especially ending our days with Stella cuddled up between us!”

Ben proposed on December 4th, in front of Michelle’s family, in Long Island City with the NYC skyline as the backdrop! Of course, Stella was there too! They then celebrated the occasion in Aruba!

It was a total surprise for Michelle! Her reaction was, “Is it real? How many karats?” 😂 It is the most beautiful ring Michelle has ever seen and more than she ever wanted. Truly obsessed!

Their wedding with be on May 1st of this year in Jersey City with the NYC backdrop!
