Clear Cut Couples: Bryan and Kaylie

Bryan and Kaylie met at the Pittsburgh Airport in February 2017. She was getting ready to fly to Spain to visit her sister who was studying abroad and decided to start her morning with a Bloody Mary. Sure enough Bryan was her bartender and the rest was history!

Their first date was Sushi - they both joked that it would have been a deal breaker if the other person didn't do sushi! Since then, they have been together for over 4 years - they met in Pittsburgh and moved to Philadelphia together in 2018!

They have shared so many incredible memories over the years. Meeting at an airport bar was definitely the highlight! Kaylie never believed people when they said you meet someone when you're least expecting it, but their situation proved that to be true! Another highlight was getting their french bulldog Marsha! They love taking her to new trails in Philadelphia and exploring the city. In addition, they are both huge Penn State and Pittsburgh fans and love spending their Fall weekends watching sports with friends and making yummy cocktails and appetizers.

For the proposal, they were in Pittsburgh for the weekend to supposedly celebrate their best friend's anniversary and see family. They went into the city on Saturday morning to have brunch before meeting up with them. They stopped at their hotel room (Fairmont Hotel in Pittsburgh) so they could freshen up before continuing the day in the city. While they were freshening up, Bryan led her up the hotel's beautiful staircase to the bar for a cocktail and proposed on the way up! His brother, her siblings and their friends were there to celebrate and take photos with the photographer. From there, they went back to her parents house where more of their family members and friends were waiting for an even bigger celebration. Best day ever!

It was a total surprise! Kaylie had a feeling the engagement was coming in the next few months, specifically maybe on her family's beach vacation. Little did she know that he planned the most special surprise proposal in Pittsburgh where they are both from. She said, “I gave him hints on what I wanted ring wise, but what he ended up with completely blew me away!! The most perfect oval ever :)”

They are in the process of planning a Pittsburgh wedding most likely in early 2023! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
