Clear Cut Couples: Diana and Wes

Diana and Wes met during prerequisites for nursing school! Wes sat next to her the first day of class hoping that they would be put in a group together. He finally got her number, but it would be another 4 years before she gave him a chance. Wes said, “I can proudly say I made it out of the friend zone!” 

Their first date was at their favorite local bar/kitchen called Hop House. It doesn’t exist anymore, but it will always be a special memory for both of them. Since then, they have been together for over 4 years (after escaping the friend zone)!

They have shared so many incredible memories over the years! One moment that will always be special to Wes happened on Christmas Eve. He wrote Diana a song and sang (terribly) to ask her to be his girlfriend. Fortunately she’s tone deaf and said yes! AWWW!

He proposed in Cabo San Lucas in July 2021. She was in her room when he slipped some of their favorite pictures and a note under her door. The note said to look through the pictures and to meet him on the beach when she was ready. He told her that they had “a few more pictures to take.” Everything after that is a blur. Wes said, “I was a mess when I was giving my speech to ask her to be my wife. I just remember her saying yes, which is all that matters in the end!”

Diana definitely had her suspicions leading up to the trip, but Wes likes to think that he got her pretty good. She’s impossible to surprise! She was definitely stunned by the ring. Olivia helped him pick the perfect diamond, and she absolutely loves it.

They have been happily married since September 2021! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
