Clear Cut Couples: Caila and Nick
We’re SO excited to share Caila and Nick’s story! Caila was actually our first guest on Cozying Up With The Clear Cut! You can read our blog post on the episode here. Long story short, Caila is a BOSS and we have so much to learn from her!
Caila and Nick were set up by friends and met in a bar in lower Manhattan! She was late and he patiently waited at the bar of the restaurant with a beer in hand. It was inside a quaint Italian restaurant that felt like it had been family run for generations. After they sat down, they immediately hit it off and talked for so long that they forgot to order until an hour later. After that, they ended the night walking and wandering around New York, before he called her an Uber home. Since then, they have been together for over 2.5 years and now live together in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
Their third date was a weekend trip to Boston. Caila already had tickets to a Boston College football game and she said it just felt right to invite him. They ended up having a blast on the train ride up and on the return ride he asked her to be his girlfriend. AWW!
Nick proposed on January 2nd, 2020 at a private oceanfront dinner table at the Ritz in Sarasota. He arranged a fire and private guitarist - Caila says it was so romantic and could not have been more perfect!!
She says, “I just kept telling myself, ‘this can't be it.’ So I wouldn't get my hopes up, but as soon as he took my hand and walked me to the dinner table I knew and started tearing up. Then I turned into a fountain when I saw the ring! He did such a good job, plus it came from the Clear Cut which was meaningful to me. I love that it is a company that is run by a couple - feels like the ring was made with love.”
