Clear Cut Couples: Chenchen and Andrew

Chenchen and Andrew met on Hinge shortly after Chenchen moved to NYC in July, 2022 (shortly after the city was first opening back up from the pandemic!). They met up in the West Village and realized that they had some mutual friends from high school/college. They talked all night and proceeded to continue seeing each other almost every day for the next week.

They have been dating since July 2020 so almost two years! And they have shared so many incredible memories since then. They went to Hawaii together in February 2021, and it was the best vacation Chenchen had ever been on and Andrew's first in 6 years.

They recently went to Tulum for a week. Andrew planned the proposal at one of the popular restaurants. A day before their reservation, he finds out the woman who was helping him coordinate things had quit and no longer worked there! He needed to last minute try and get in touch with someone else who could help him plan the moment. Fortunately he was able to pull it off and propose just before sunset!

Chenchen said, “It was definitely a surprise! We were at the restaurant early enough that it felt like we had the place to ourselves for a few moments to celebrate and enjoy the moment. It was amazing to be standing above the jungle and watching the sunset together.” Her dream wedding is at Lake Como in Italy. Their families are from the TriState area so something local is more likely - we cannot wait to hear about it! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
