Clear Cut Couples: Gail and Justin

Justin and Gail met in an elevator, the same day Justin accepted his offer for a new job. Justin called his best friend to tell him the exciting news ... that he just met a girl named Gail and wanted to ask her out on a date. However, Justin wasn't very good at making his intentions clear and almost put himself in the friend zone. Luckily, that didn't happen. Four months later he finally asked Gail out on a date and the rest is history.

Since then, the two have been together for four fun and amazing years this December.

On November 9th, 2018 Justin surprised Gail with a trip to the Grand Canyon (a bucket list goal for Gail). After a 3.5 hour trip, a helicopter ride and a few locations with a tour group, Justin proposed on a secluded lookout in the South Rim. What Gail didn't know, was that everyone was in on the proposal. The tour group and guide were ready for the big moment, so they got lots of good photos and videos of the proposal. As for the proposal itself, it couldn't have been more fitting that Justin opened the box upside down. Gail not only said yes, but lunged to make sure the ring didn't fall out of the box! However, the biggest surprise was when they got back to Chicago. Justin planned a surprise engagement party as well and invited Gail's family from Pennsylvania (months before the proposal) to fly in and help surprise her. It was a perfect way to celebrate with friends and family the day after the engagement.

Gail had a feeling something was up when Justin surprised her with the Grand Canyon trip and didn't eat any food throughout the first 10 hours of the day (Justin never misses a meal). However, it was still a big surprise and she could not have asked for a more gorgeous and sparkly ring. Justin put a lot of thought into the design and it really paid off (with the help of Olivia). We love this stunning Round Brilliant!

The two are still planning a time and venue that is perfect for them. As of now, they plan for 2020 to be able to see as many venues as possible and enjoy their time being engaged!
