Clear Cut Couples: Katie and Daniel

Katie and Daniel met in Adelaide, Australia on New Years Eve in 2011. They then worked out that Katie was about to start university in his hometown of Bendigo and they often ran into each other at the local bars......coincidence or not they will never know. Daniel drove from Ballarat to take her out for dinner and then to the movies. They have been together for 7 years as of November 2020. They never really settled on a date when they officially started dating so they decided the whole month of November should do it. 

They have shared so many memories since then! Buying their first home in Melbourne was a highlight, but taking the plunge to move across the other side of the world to New York definitely takes the cake. They’ve made incredible memories in America and to get engaged while here makes this time extra special!!

Daniel proposed on Saturday October 17th at Newport Beach in California. Katie was taking a photo of the water and Daniel placed the ring box in front of the lens and as she turned around, he was there with her beautiful Clear Cut ring! She said, “I was so mesmerized by the ring I don’t think I even responded with an answer. So Daniel if I haven’t yet said so, it’s a yes from me!”

They would like to get married back in Australia with all of their closest family and friends, but they are still working out when that will be. Hopefully sometime in the warmer months of 2021-22! Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
