Clear Cut Couples: Sammie and Chris

Sammie and Chris met in 2015 when Chris walked into the barbershop where she worked. He would come in every two weeks for a haircut and she would have to take her lunch break at that time every two weeks because she would “literally stop breathing and thinking” when she made eye contact with him. AWW! She said, “I remember looking at my co-workers one day and saying he was going to be my husband.”

For their first date, Sammie was house and dog sitting for her best friend while she was out of town.

The two of them decided to watch the new Lion King movie. Chris brought her wine but he knew the way to her heart was through the dogs so he also surprised her and brought them all new dog toys.

They have been together ever since and have known each other for seven years! They have shared so many incredible memories over the years. Some highlights include getting their first dog, Leo, and also building a custom home together. Also the time Chris took her deep sea fishing and she caught a bigger fish than him!

They had a trip to Tampa planned that Sammie thought was just a fun weekend with their closest friends, but turns out, Chris had a whole first day of the trip planned out for the proposal. Courtney, Sammie’s best friend since childhood had been telling her for an entire week prior to the trip to wear a specific dress, and Sammie kept telling her that she just wanted to dress casual.

Once they got to their Airbnb she had talked Sammie into wearing the dress and they left for dinner. They started walking through a park to meet Chris' childhood best friend and his wife who live in Tampa. They ended up in a beautiful area with live oak trees and Spanish moss so they took a few group photos... the next thing she knew, Chris was down on one knee and a photographer popped up out of nowhere!

Once she said yes, one of their friends popped a bottle of champagne and they walked to the restaurant which was another surprise. Chris had booked a private room at a nice french restaurant with a private bartender!

Sammie was so shocked and the funny thing is that she had told her friend Katherine not even 20 minutes before Chris proposed that she thought he was going to do it that weekend, but not that night because it would be too obvious!

They are planning a romantic Italian-themed destination wedding! And they have narrowed the honey moon down to Italy or going on a safari.Congrats you two! We are SO happy for you!
