Zach and Rannie met during their first day of orientation at Facebook. It's a big company, and they were each part of unrelated teams and different office locations (California and Texas). They joke that if they hadn't met that day, the odds of meeting otherwise were pretty slim.
Since then, they have officially been together for about a year and a half, but they’ve known each other for almost four years. Their first date was on the Golden Gate Bridge in 2015, but they decided not to pursue a relationship then. They both just moved to different states and started new jobs; too new, too early, and too many unknowns. But timing is everything. A few years later they reconnected and… now they’re engaged!!
Zach proposed on April 13, 2019 at Kirby Cove, a spot overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge where they had their first date. She thought they were going "camping." Zach flew a photographer friend in for the photos. Rannie’s mom and best friend flew in and showed up during brunch at Napa. They had an incredible day with family and friends.
Rannie was so surprised when he proposed! That being said, she did ask Zach the morning of, "Why are you so anxious today!" so she sensed he was acting funny. Rannie has the PERFECT ring! They had a few discussions on what she wanted, and The Clear Cut helped them bring the vision to life.
As for their wedding, they don’t know yet! They’re thinking tropical, and something intimate that brings together their Jersey and Ohio families. Congrats Zach and Rannie -- we are SO excited for you!!
