Ariel Okin is an interior design extraordinaire! She graduated from Georgetown and got a Masters at Columbia in strategic communication, focusing on political affairs. She thought she was going to go in to politics, but (just like me!) her side hustle turned into a career! She was working on Scott Stringer’s campaign with Audrey Gelman (who later founded The Wing!) and Ariel was so inspired by what Audrey was doing in politics. She then worked at her political strategic consulting company, SKDKnickerbocker, and then Rock The Vote. Ariel was working full time when she found another passion -- interior design. Whenever anyone would come over to her apartment, they would comment on the interior and ask Ariel to help design their space.

One thing led to another -- she built a portfolio and started a company! Ariel tells us about that decision -- when is the right time to quit your job and pursue your side hustle, full time? In this episode we’re chatting all about the hustle, the importance of team-work, and design trends. Don't miss her announcements for new 2020 projects!
